To set up your project locations, click on the Locations option in the Project Menu shown below.


 


The Project Location window will open and if you added a Project Location while setting up your project, you will see a project boundary around the project location you added.




To begin setting up your project location hierarchy, you must first add levels from the left panel. Click the Add Level button to add a Buildings level.




Give your level a name (in this case we gave the name 'Buildings', and select 'Map' as the Spatial Type. Click the SAVE button to save the level.




Once you click SAVE, the Buildings level will show in the left panel.




Click the Buildings level to add one or more Buildings to your project.




Click the Edit in Map icon to mark where the building is located on the map, then click the Save button to save the building's location.



 



Click the Add Level + button again to add a level for Floors under the Buildings level. For the Spatial Type, you have the option to select None, BIM or Drawing. For this example, we are selecting Drawing. Click the SAVE button to create your Floors level.




Once you click SAVE, the Floors level will show in the left panel.




Click the down caret on the Buildings level to select the building you want to add Floors to.




Click the Floors level to add one or more Floors to the Building you selected.




Give your floors a name, and click the Select Drawing button to associate a Drawing to the floor.




When you click the Select Drawing button, the Select Drawing window will open, from there, you can select from any of the Drawings uploaded to the Drawings system folder in Drive mode. Once you have selected a drawing, click the Checkmark save button.




Once you click the Checkmark save button, the Drawing window will close, and you will see that the drawing you selected will be added as the Primary Drawing for the First Floor.




Click the Add Level + button again to add a third level for Rooms under the Floors level.




When adding the Rooms level, you will be able to select either the On Drawing, or None options for the Spatial Type. For this example, we are selecting the On Drawing option. Click the SAVE button to save the Rooms level.




Click the down caret on the Floors level to select the Floor you want to add Rooms to.




Click the Rooms level to add one or more Rooms to the Floor you selected.




Give your Rooms a name, and click the pushpin button in the Tagged column to associate a room to the selected floor by drawing it on the Drawing you selected for that floor.




Once you click the pushpin, the drawing you selected will open in the Sketch Editor. From there, you can use the Draw Tools to draw the rooms on the drawing.




First, draw a boarder around the room or rooms you want to associate to the rooms listed in your Rooms level.




Next, open the Locations menu, and select the Add Tag option.




Tag the room you have drawn the boarder around by clicking when the pushpin icon shows.




The Tag Location window will open. First, select the down caret in the Location Tags field and select the Rooms option.




All the rooms you have added to your project will show. Select the one for the room you are currently tagging.




Click the SAVE button to associate the room to the drawing.

Return to the Project Location window and you will see that the room has been associated to the floor.
