Accessing Certification/Certificates from Kiosk


Workers at a Work Site can access and manage Certificates and take the ‘Certification Test’ necessary for their position via the Smartapp Kiosk. The Certificates/Certifications option is the 5th Step in the 'New Worker' process.


1. At a Kiosk, a new worker taps on the "New Worker" option to get started.


2. Worker fills in Registration Information and clicks 'Next' to proceed. Based on the ‘Trade’ selection, the worker may have Policies and Certificates/Certifications to fill out.


3. Worker adds additional information and clicks 'Next' to proceed.



4. Worker adds a Badge Photo and clicks 'Next' to proceed.




5. If the Trade the Worker selected has Policies related to it, the Worker will Read and Acknowledge Policies. Worker clicks 'Next' to Proceed to the Certificates/Certifications Screen.



6. The Certifications Kiosk Screen contains the following information:

a. Text: "For your trade there are one or more certifications that may apply to you"

b. Text: "Please upload or take any of the certifications below."

c. Certificate/Certification Thumbnail - Clicking the Thumbnail will bring users to the same place as Button Column.

d. Certificate/Certification Name - Name of Certificate/Certification.

e. Test Badge Column - 'Test Based Certifications' will show towards the right of the certification name. 

7. Clicking on a Badge will show Test Results.

a. Grey Badge - Test Not Taken

b. Green Badge - Test Passed

c. Red Badge  - Test Failed.

f. Button Column has 3 distinct states:

a. Take Photo - For 'Upload Certificate' Certifications only. User takes a Photo of their Certificate.  NOT FOR 'TEST BASED CERTIFICATIONS'

b. Take the Test - For 'Test Based Certifications'. Clicking on this will allow the User to take that specific Certification Test. NOT FOR 'UPLOAD CERTIFICATES'.

c. View Test Results - For 'Test Based Certifications'. Clicking on this will allow the User to see their Test Results.

g. Expires On Column - For 'Certificates', the User is able to enter the 'Expires On' Date. For 'Test Based Certifications' the Expires On is auto populated based on the 'Requires Renewal' when the Certification was set up.


NOTE: IF Track Expires On is turned OFF when creating an Upload Certificate in Drive, the 'Expires On' for an 'Upload Certificate' will not be accessible in Kiosk. If Requires Renewal is turned OFF when creating a Test Based Certification in Drive, the 'Expires On' will not be updated in Kiosk.



Worker Takes a Certification Test from Kiosk

From the Certification Step (5th Step, immediately after Policies) in the 'New Worker' process, the worker can take one or more certification tests by clicking on the 'Take the Test' Orange Button next to the Certification Test.


1. Worker taps on the 'Take the Test' button for a specific Certification to take the ‘Test Based Certification’.


2. Worker reads and answers each question in the test and aps 'Next' to proceed.


     


3. Once the Test is Completed, IF the User Passes the Test, the following will Update:

a. The Badge on the Test Thumbnail will Now show as Green.

b. The 'Take the Test' Button will update to 'View Test Results'.

c. The 'Expires On' Date will be Calculated based on 'Requires Renewal Date' Setting and when the test

was completed.

4. Once the Worker has completed the Certificate/Certifications Section, they can progress to the 'Next

Screen' Screen.



IF User Fails 'Test Based Certification' Test


In the Event that the User Fails a 'Test Based Certification', the following will Update:

a. The Badge on the Test Thumbnail will Now show as Red.

b. The 'Take the Test' Button will remain as 'Take the Test'.

c. The 'Expires On' Date will not be calculated.



Worker Takes Photo to Add a Certificate from Kiosk

From the Certification Step (5th Step, immediately after Policies) in the 'New Worker' process, the worker can add a Certificate by clicking on the 'Take a Photo' Orange Button next to the Certificate they would like to add.


1. Worker taps on the 'Take a Photo' button for a specific Certificate to Add that Certificate.


2. Worker Takes one or more photos of the Certifications they need to add. Once all the documents have been added, the worker clicks ‘Done’ to proceed.



3. multiple photos added:

a. The Certificate Thumbnail will now show the thumbnail of the first photo added.

b. A ‘Blue Circle’ will show at the top right corner of the thumbnail with a count of photos If more than 1 item is added. Ex. '+2' shows in the blue circle if 3 items were added.

c. The 'Take a Photo' button updates to show 'Retake Photo'.

d. The 'Expires On' field becomes active.


4. Worker clicks on the ‘Expires on’ Field to add an 'Expires On' date.


5. With the 'Expires On' information Added, Worker has the option to Take additional Photos, Take Tests, or

click 'Next' to proceed.


NOTE: The 'Expires On' option will only show for a Certificate if the 'Track Expiration' option is Turned 'ON' when configuring a Certificate in Drive. If 'Track Expiration' is turned 'OFF', 'Expires On' will not be Shown.
