Navigating BIM models at the jobsite can be a real challenge. But not anymore with our new BIM Hypermodel split-screen navigation mode that lets you quickly and accurately move around your BIM model from one or more of your 2D floor plans. Now you can easily jump from floor to floor, room to room in your BIM model and never get lost!
HOW TO ENABLE HYPER SYNC MODE IN SPLIT SCREEN
You can select one or many 2D Drawings AND a BIM that are linked to the same location, and get into a ‘Hyper Model Sync Mode’ that allows you to navigate through a 2D Drawing, while the corresponding mapped BIM file will also move and rotate 360 based on any action you’re performing on the 2D file!
Here are a few easy steps you can follow to enable this feature:
From the Split Screen, select “One or many 2D files” and “One BIM file” that are “Mapped to the same location” > Then hit “Apply changes”
You will now see a prompt that says “Hyper Model Sync Mode Detected” > Select “Allow”
You have now enabled the Hyper Sync Mode in Split-screen!On your active 2D Drawing, you will now see a new navigator element at the center of the drawing. You can use this to navigate the 2D Drawing and view the same actions simultaneously in the BIM.
Try the Move/Rotate actions! When you activate the second 2D Drawing, the navigation control will automatically show up.
This is what it should look like for you:
