Add Tags by selecting a Board

There are numerous benefits of adding tags from CPM to Planner: 

  1. Improved organization: By creating tags that correspond to specific tasks or categories within a schedule, you can easily organize and categorize your tasks within a planner. This makes it easier to find and prioritize tasks when managing your schedule.
  2. Efficient tracking: By assigning tags to tasks, you can quickly track progress and identify which tasks are completed, in progress, or still pending. This can help you stay on top of your schedule and ensure that you meet your deadlines.
  3. Better collaboration: When working in a team, tags can help you communicate more efficiently by providing a shared language for categorizing tasks. This can help everyone stay on the same page and ensure that work is distributed evenly across the team.
  4. Greater flexibility: Tags provide a flexible way to categorize tasks within a planner. You can easily add or remove tags as needed, or change the way you categorize tasks based on your evolving needs.
  5. Enhanced insights: By analyzing the tags associated with your tasks, you can gain valuable insights into your workflow and identify areas where you can improve efficiency. For example, you may notice that certain types of tasks consistently take longer to complete, or that certain team members are more effective at certain types of tasks. This can help you optimize your schedule and allocate resources more effectively.

Follow the below steps to Create a Tag from CPM schedule


  1. When the User selects tasks and right-clicks, he is shown the 'Create Tags' button. 
  2. Click on the button to open the 'Create Tags' popup. 
  3. Clicks on the 'Choose Board' field.
  4. It displays a list of Summary Boards and Dispatch Boards (High-Level Plan Boards and Daily Work Dispatch Boards)
  5. The moderator selects the board where he wants the tags to be created.
  6. Note: Based on the Board Type he has selected, the "Would you like to set up Dynamic Milestone for the rollup Tags?"

Note: Option remains disabled if the selected board is Dispatch Board. It enables selecting a Plan Board.

For the selected Board, the Default App set in the Board Details Page will be auto-selected in the 'App Type' field.

The moderator can choose to change the App by clicking on the field.

He clicks on clicks on 'Create' to generate the tags on the selected board.
