Kiosk Setup


Setting Up your SmartApp™ Safety Kiosk


Follow these basic steps in order to set up your SmartApp™ Safety Kiosk!


Step 1:  Unpack the Kiosk from Box Packaging

To Get Started, unpack the Kiosk from the Packing Box.


Step 2:  Plug in the Kiosk with the Surge Protected Cord Provided

Unpack and Plug in the Kiosk with the Surge Protected Cord Provided.


Step 3:  Open the Tablet Holder with the Key Provided

A Key is Provided to Lock/Unlock the Kiosk Tablet Holder.  Unlock the Tablet Holder with the provided Key.


Step 4:  Plug the Tablet in to the Kiosk & Turn Tablet On

With the Tablet Holder Unlocked, connect the Tablet to the USB C Power Cable in the Tablet Holder Area.  Press the Power Button on the Tablet to turn the Tablet On.


Step 5:  Close and Lock the Tablet Holder

With the Tablet Connected and turned On, Close and Lock the Tablet Holder to Secure the Tablet to the Kiosk.


Step 6:  Adjust frame around tablet to allow for the camera to be Visible

Make sure the Tablet Camera is visible in the Tablet Holder by adjusting the Frame around the Tablet.


Step 7:  Open the Pre-Loaded Smartapp™ App on the Tablet

With the Tablet Set in the Kiosk,  in the Tablet Screen,  Tap on the Smartapp™ App Icon to Start the App.


Step 8:  Login as a a Project Admin/Safety Manager

With the Smartapp App Opened, Log in with your Smartapp  Credentials.  Only Project Admins or Safety Managers will have the option to Enable 'Safety Kiosk Mode' in their Smartapp  Project.


Step 9:  Tap on your Project in 'Project Central'

Once you are logged in the Smartapp App, you will find yourself in 'Project Central'. In Project Central you will see the projects you have access to.  Tap on the Project you would like to Enter.


Step 10:  Tap on the Down Arrow next to the Project Name

In your Project,  in the top left corner,  Tap on the Down Arrow next to the project Name to view the Project Settings Menu.


Step 11:  Tap on 'Safety' in the Project Menu

In the Project Menu,  Tap on 'Safety' to view the 'Safety' Menu options.


Step 12:  Tap to toggle 'Safety Kiosk Mode' to ON

In the Safety Menu Option,  Tap to turn the 'Safety Kiosk Mode' to ON


Step 13:  Tap on 'Yes' to confirm Kiosk Mode

With the 'Safety Kiosk Mode' toggle set to ON,  a Confirmation will ask you if you are sure you would like to enable Safety Kiosk Mode.  Tap 'Yes' to Enable Kiosk Safety Mode.   Your Kiosk will now be ready to Accept New Workers and Visitors!

FOR ADMINS


Enable Safety Kiosk Mode on a Tablet


Admins or Safety Managers have the option to Enable 'Safety Kiosk Mode' in the SmartApp  Project Menu in order to turn a Tablet into a Kiosk.


Step 1:  Turn on Safety Kiosk Mode

To Get Started, in your Project,  click to Open the Project Menu.  In the Project Menu,  Tap on the Safety Menu caret.  In the Safety Menu, click on the 'Safety Kiosk Mode' Toggle to turn the Safety Kiosk Mode on.


 

Step 2:  Confirm Enabling of Kiosk Mode

With Safety Kiosk Mode turned ON,  a Confirmation window will appear asking you to Confirm that you want to enable Kiosk. Click YES to Confirm.



Step 3:  Ready for Workers and Visitors

With 'Safety Kiosk Mode' Enabled,  Your screen will enter Kiosk Mode. It is Now Ready for New Workers or Visitors to Sign In/Out of your Project.

Disable Safety Kiosk Mode on a Tablet


Admins or Safety Managers have the option to Disable  'Safety Kiosk Mode' in the SmartApp Project Menu in order to close Kiosk Mode.



Step 1:  Open Kiosk Settings

To Disable a Tablet in Safety Kiosk Mode,  click on the Kiosk Settings Icon in the top right corner of the screen. In the Kiosk Settings, Tap on the 'Exit Kiosk Mode' option.  This will bring up a sign in window.




Step 2:  Enter Admin Credentials

In the Sign in window,  a Safety Manager or Admin must enter their Email and Password, then click the 'Exit Kiosk Mode' button.  This will Exit Kiosk Mode and return you to your SmartApp Project.

FOR WORKERS



New Worker Sign In - Not Previously Registered 


Step 1:  Select Worker Option

To proceed, simply Tap on the Orange 'New Worker' button. 

    


   

Step 2:  Add Personal Information

As you have not registered before,  leave the 'Have you Registered before?' option as 'No'.  

Fill out all of your personal information and click the 'Next' button to proceed. 

  


  

Step 3:  Add OSHA Information

Fill out all the Required Information in Step 2 of the Onboarding Wizard.  Be sure to Take a Photo of your OSHA  Card.

When you are done, click the 'Next' button to proceed.

   


Step 4:  Take a Badge Photo

In Step 4 of the Onboarding Wizard simply Take a Photo of yourself for your Badge Photo.  Don't worry,  if you don't like your photo, simply click the Retake Photo and retake your picture.  When you are done, click the 'Next' button to proceed!

      


Step 5:  Read & Acknowledge Policies

In Step 5 of the Onboarding Wizard,  click on each Policy open and Read them.  

                   


At the end of each Policy, you will be asked to click and Agree with the policy.

    


Additionally, you will need to add your Signature to verify you Agree with the policy.

    


Once ALL Policies have been Read and Acknowledged, click the 'Next' button to proceed.

     


Step 6:  Collect Badge

With the Badge information Submitted your Badge will be ready for your first day on the Jobsite!

New Worker Sign In - Previously Registered 


Step 1:  Select Worker Option

 To proceed in the Safety Kiosk, simply click on the Orange 'New Worker' button. 

      

    

    

Step 2:  Select the 'Yes' Option for 'Have you Registered before?'

As you have Previously registered before,  select the 'Yes' option under the 'Have you Registered before?' question.  

    


    

Step 3:  Log in to Smartapp.com

In the Popup window,  simply type in your Smartapp.com Login Information and press the 'Submit' button.

       

  

      

Step 4:  Review Personal Information

Having signed in with your Smartapp.com account, your personal information will automatically prepopulate.

Click the 'Next' button to continue.

      


   

Step 5:  Add OSHA Information

Fill out all the Required Information in Step 2 of the Onboarding Wizard.  Be sure to Take a Photo of your OSHA  Card.

When you are done, click the 'Next' button to proceed.

     


Step 6:  Take a Badge Photo

In Step 6 of the Onboarding Wizard simply Take a Photo of yourself for your Badge Photo.  Don't worry,  if you don't like your photo, simply click the Retake Photo and retake your picture.  When you are done, click the 'Next' button to proceed!

   


Step 7:  Read & Acknowledge Policies

In Step 7 of the Onboarding Wizard,  click on each Policy open and Read them.  

  


At the end of each Policy, you will be asked to click and Agree with the policy.



Additionally, you will need to add your Signature to verify you Agree with the policy.

  


Once ALL Policies have been Read and Acknowledged, click the 'Next' button to proceed.

   


Step 8:  Collect Badge

Worker In/Out


Follow the instructions in order to Log In or Out of the Jobsite.


Step 1:  Select the Worker in/Out Option

To proceed, simply Tap on the Black 'Worker In/Out' button at the bottom of the Kiosk Screen. 

    


   

Step 2:  Scan your Worker Badge

To proceed, simply Scan your Worker Badge.  The QR Code on the Worker Badge will link you to the system.

   


Step 3:  Successfully Timed In

If you are Timing In, you will see a Time In Message. You are Successfully Timed in to the Job Site. Click the 'Done' button

to return to the Kiosk Main Menu.

FOR VISITORS


Visitor Sign In - Not Pre-Scheduled


If you are Not Pre-Scheduled for a Visit to the Jobsite, you have the option to Schedule a Visit with your Sponsor directly from the Safesite Kiosk.  Simply follow the directions below.   


Step 1:  Select Visitor Option

To proceed in the Safety Kiosk, simply click on the Orange 'Visitor In' button. 

   



Step 2:  Add Sponsor

As your visit has not been Pre-Scheduled,  leave the 'Is your visit Pre-Scheduled?' option as 'No'.    Select the Sponsor for your visit from the list.   Click the Next button to continue.

  


Step 3:  Add Personal Information

In the next screen,  add your Personal information:  First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone #, Company and Reason for Visit. When you have filled out the form, click the 'Next' button.



Step 4:  Add a Badge Photo

In the next screen,  take a picture of yourself for your badge photo, click the 'Next' button to continue.




Step 5:  Wait for your Sponsor

Having successfully pre registered, you will see a copy of your Visitor Badge.  Your sponsor will have a badge ready for you when they arrive.  Click 'Done' to close the Visitor In Registration.

Visitor Sign In - Pre-Scheduled


If you ARE Pre-Scheduled for a Visit to the Jobsite,  Simply follow the directions below.   


Step 1:  Select Visitor Option

To proceed in the Safety Kiosk, simply click on the Orange 'Visitor In' button. 

   



Step 2:  Add Personal Information

In the next screen,  select 'Yes' under the 'Is your visit Pre-Scheduled?' question.  Next, Enter the Visitor Request Number that was emailed to you when your Sponsor Pre-Registered you.  With your Visitor Request Number verified,  click the Next Button to Proceed.


NOTE: If you did not receive or cannot find your Visitor Request Email,  please contact your Sponsor.


Step 3:  Review Your Personal Information

In the next screen,  Review your Personal information:  First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone #, Company and Reason for Visit. When you have reviewed and made any changes, click the 'Next' button to proceed.



Step 4:  Add a Badge Photo

In the next screen,  take a picture of yourself for your badge photo, click the 'Next' button to continue.



Step 5:  Wait for your Sponsor

Having successfully pre registered, you will see a copy of your Visitor Badge.  Your sponsor will have a badge ready for you when they arrive.  Click 'Done' to close the Visitor In Registration.

Visitor Out


Follow the instructions in order to Log Out of the Jobsite as a Visitor.


Step 1:  Select the Visitor Out Option

To proceed, simply Tap on the Black 'Visitor Out' button at the bottom of the Kiosk Screen. 

    


   

Step 2:  Scan your Worker Badge

To proceed, simply Scan your Visitor Badge. The QR Code on the Visitor Badge will link you to the system.

   

 

Step 3:  Successfully Signed In

When you have successfully timed out, you will see a Time Out Message.  You are Successfully Timed Out of the Job Site. Click the 'Done' button to return to the Kiosk Main Menu.
