Overview

This feature allows users to shift or pause tags within the Planner mode - Schedule, helping adjust tasks and associated work efficiently.

Key Features

  1. Shift Tags:

    • Move tags to different dates, updating associated tasks accordingly.
    • Set start and end dates for the shift and select a reason from predefined categories.

  2. Pause Tags:

    • Pause tags indefinitely until manually unpaused.
    • Set the start date for the pause and select a reason from predefined categories.

  3. Unpause Tags:

    • Resume paused tags with options to adjust end dates.

How to Use

Shifting a Tag

  1. Initiate Shift:

    • Click the "Shift/Pause" icon on the tag.
    • Select "Shift" from the popup.

  2. Set Shift Details:

    • Enter the "Begins On" and "Ends On" dates.
    • Choose a category for the shift reason.
    • Add notes if necessary.

  3. Apply Shift:

    • Submit the shift details to update the tag and associated work tags.

Pausing a Tag

  1. Initiate Pause:

    • Click the "Shift/Pause" icon on the tag.
    • Select "Pause" from the popup.

  2. Set Pause Details:

    • Enter the "Begins On" date.
    • Choose a category for the pause reason.
    • Add notes if necessary.

  3. Apply Pause:

    • Submit the pause details to update the tag's status to "Paused."

Unpausing a Tag

  1. Initiate Unpause:

    • Click the "Pause" icon on the paused tag to open the unpause options.

  2. Set Unpause Details:

    • Choose one of the following options:
      • Leave the current end date.
      • Set today's date as the end date.
      • Enter a new end date.

  3. Apply Unpause:

    • Submit the unpause details to resume the tag's activities and update associated tasks.

Notifications

  • Shift Notifications: Triggered for tags that are dispatched and have been moved.
  • Pause Notifications: Sent to resources associated with paused tags (excluding tags in "In Planning," "Completed," and "Verified" statuses).
  • Unpause Notifications: Sent to resources when a tag is resumed.

Important Notes

  • Shift Impact: Only tags that are not started or still in planning will be shifted.
  • Pause Impact: Affects all associated tags, making them read-only until resumed.
  • UI Changes: Ensure any UI changes are approved by the User Interface team.
