Work Category will allow you to add a category of work that can be used in the project. To access Work Categories, in the Project dropdown menu go to PLANNER™ Settings > Work Categories as shown below.
Configuring Default Rate Per Hour in Work Categories:
Navigate to Work Categories:
Go to Mega Menu → Project Settings → Work Categories.
Create a New Work Category:
In the Manage Work Categories window, click the "+" button in the bottom right corner to create a new category.
Select a Trade from the drop-down.
Enter a numeric value for "Default Rate (per Hour)" (not accepting negative input).
Click the "+" button to add the Trade with the hourly rate.
Repeat for multiple Trades if needed.
Click "Save" to save the Work Category configuration.
Note: Different Work Categories can have the same Trade defined with different hourly rates.
View Configuration:
Hover over the Work Categories grid entry to view configured hourly rates for Trades.
Default Rate Per Hour in Project Team (Desktop)
Navigate to Project Team:
Go to Mega Menu → Project Settings → Project Team.
Add a New User:
Click "+" to open the "Add New User(s)" window.
Selecting a Company auto-fills the Trade field.
The Work Category field displays associated Work Categories for the selected Trade.
The Hourly Rate field displays the defined hourly rate.
After entering required information, click "ADD" to add the user to the Project Team grid.
The "Hourly Rate" column in the grid represents the defined hourly rate for each user.
Note: Configuration of Trades in Work Categories is ONLY allowed on Desktop.
The functionality for creating a new user in Project Team in devices (Tablet / Mobile) follows the same behavior as described for Desktop.
