Overview

This feature allows users to log work time directly from the Work Queue, providing both automatic and manual time entry options for tasks assigned to users, work teams, or companies.

Key Features

  1. Auto Log:

    • Start and stop a timer to log time automatically.
    • If the timer is not stopped, it will force stop at midnight, requiring a new timer the next day.
  2. Manual Log:

    • Manually enter start and end times for a given day.

How to Use

Auto Log

  1. Start Timer:

    • Navigate to the task in the Work Queue.
    • Click the "Start" button to begin the timer.
  2. Stop Timer:

    • Click the "Stop Timer" button to stop the timer and log the time.
    • Edit the recorded time if necessary, add notes, and click "Submit".

Manual Log

  1. Manual Entry:
    • Navigate to the task in the Work Queue.
    • Click the "Manual Log" tab.
    • Enter the start and end times using the time picker.
    • Add notes if necessary and click "Submit".

Assigning Tasks

  1. To a User:

    • Time entry is disabled until the task is started.
    • Users can log time only for themselves.
  2. To a Work Team:

    • Work team managers can log time for themselves or their team members.
    • Select "Work Team" in the "Log Time For" field to log time for the team.
  3. To a Company:

    • Company managers can log time for themselves or their company members.
    • Select "My Company" in the "Log Time For" field to log time for the company.

Important Notes

  • Time Entry Enabled: Only enabled when the task is started.
  • Multiple Entries: Multiple time entries can be added by clicking the "+" button.
  • Auto Log and Manual Log: Both logs can be used simultaneously, and entries can be modified later in the "Time Log" module.
