In the Budget Manager tool, the default list for cost codes and cost types can be customized to meet specific project requirements. 


By default, the 'Cost Code for 16 Division Master list' and 'Cost Type' lists are utilized in the Budget Manager. However, in certain cases where customized Division Codes are necessary.


Accessing the Budget Manager:

Log in to the project management system. Navigate to the 'Budget Manager' section.


Configuring Default Lists:

Select the 'Settings' or 'Configuration' option within the Budget Manager. Locate the 'Default Lists' or 'List Configuration' tab.


Customizing the 'Cost Code' List:

Under the Budget List Value Settings

Choose the option to modify the default list for 'Cost Code.'

Select the desired list from the available options or create a new list using the List Manager.

Save the changes to set the new list as the default for 'Cost Code' in the Budget Manager.


Adjusting the 'Cost Type' List:

Under the Budget List Value Settings

Find the section related to the 'Cost Type' list configuration.

Modify the default list by choosing a different list or creating a customized one through the List Manager.

Save the changes to establish the new 'Cost Type' list as the default for the Budget Manager.



Implementing Changes for Budget Line Items:

When creating or editing budget line items, the system will now automatically populate the customized lists for 'Cost Code' and 'Cost Type.'
