The Time Log Summary View feature provides a summarized visualization of time entries by user, offering an overview of time-related data across different pay periods and schedules.
Key Features
Toggle Views:
- Switch between Detailed View and Summary View using a new toggle switch.
Pay Calendar Control:
- Display and navigate pay periods using a new control.
Filters:
- Filter time entries by various criteria, including Pay Calendar and Projects.
Time Entry Breakdown:
- View detailed breakdown of hours for each user and pay period.
Pie Chart Visualization:
- Visual representation of total hours breakdown by category.
How to Use
Switching Between Views
- Toggle to Summary View:
- Use the toggle switch to change from Detailed View to Summary View.
- Summary View displays consolidated time entries grouped by user for each pay period.
Navigating Pay Periods
- Pay Calendar Control:
- Use the left and right carets to scroll through different pay periods.
- Select specific pay calendars from the dropdown menu.
Filtering Time Entries
- Apply Filters:
- Use the filter options to refine the displayed time entries.
- Filters available for both Detailed View and Summary View.
Viewing Time Entry Breakdown
Detailed Breakdown:
- Click on a specific time entry to view the breakdown by hour, including status, start and end times, duration, and category.
Accept, Split, Send Back:
- Approve, split, or request changes to time entries directly from the Summary View.
Visualizing Total Hours
- Pie Chart:
- Hover over the total hours to see a pie chart showing the breakdown by category (Reported, Vacation, Sick, Break, Personal Time).
Notes
- Automatic Updates: The grid updates automatically based on the selected pay period and filters.
- Organization Level: Similar functionalities are available at the organization level, showing data across all projects.
